Job summary

Salt seeks an experienced Employee Relations professional to act as the frontline advisor across Australia and New Zealand. You will guide managers through performance conversations, support investigations, and help design a compliant Performance Management framework aligned to ANZ employment law.

You will partner with HRBPs to advise on local legislation, crisis resolution, and disciplinary processes, while navigating AI tools to improve ER outcomes in a high‑impact environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct ER, HR, or related experience, including performance management and/or workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance in Australia.
• Experience with HR ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite; comfort navigating HRIS platforms
• Comfortable with current AI tools and platforms; ability to apply AI outputs responsibly in ER contexts
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to adjust style for diverse audiences
• Comfort with ambiguity, stress, and emotionally charged situations
• Data-driven mindset with curiosity about how technology can improve processes
• Creative problem-solving and forward-thinking approach

Responsibilities

• Serve as the day-to-day trusted advisor on all employee relations matters across Australia.
• Coach managers on documenting feedback, conducting difficult performance conversations, and supporting employees.
• Help design and implement Performance Management framework and documentation aligned to ANZ employment law
• Independently manage and execute end-to-end workplace investigations, ensuring fairness, discretion, and compliance.
• Independently manage and execute end-to-end workplace investigations.
• Work closely with HR Business Partners and providing advice on local legislation requirements, crisis resolution, and disciplinary processes.
