Job summary

Swiss Re in Sydney is seeking an HR Business Partner for ANZ to bridge business strategy with people outcomes. You will embed in the business, partner with leaders, and deliver HR initiatives that boost engagement, performance, and resilience.

In this role you will manage employee relations under AU/NZ law, lead recruitment, changes, policy maintenance, analytics, and HR reporting. Swiss Re offers hybrid work, competitive benefits, and a diverse, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices across Australia and New Zealand.
• Demonstrated HR Business Partner experience influencing leaders at multiple levels.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret HR data and trends.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and HR analytics tools; interest in AI.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs and co-create HR solutions that align with business objectives.
• Navigate employee relations matters with sensitivity and knowledge of AU/NZ legislation.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and retention strategies.
• Support organisational change initiatives with clear communication and change impact management.
• Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor HR industry trends to keep Swiss Re competitive.
• Design and lead engagement initiatives informed by survey insights.
• Prepare accurate HR reports for leadership to support decision-making.
• Harness data to generate insights for continuous improvement and engagement.
• Oversee group-wide HR processes including goal setting, performance reviews, and compensation cycles.
• Advise management on performance, resourcing, and rewards with sound judgement.
• Build trust across the organisation and facilitate fair resolutions.
• Deliver ad hoc HR projects as directed by the Group.
