Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Australia is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager for the Sydney territory, focusing on Takeuchi construction equipment. You will drive profitable sales of new and used earthmoving machinery, build strong customer relationships, and expand market presence across Sydney.

Based in Sydney, this role involves engaging with customers, conducting demonstrations, and working closely with the Earthmoving Product Manager to grow the Takeuchi and Toyota range.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in earthmoving, construction or related industries.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth through sale of new and used earthmoving and construction equipment.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across a diverse base.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
• Conduct customer site visits, equipment demonstrations, and product presentations.
• Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions in line with company policies.
• Provide customers with technical product advice and equipment recommendations.
• Support sales and marketing campaigns, promotions and launches.
• Monitor market activity and report on trends and competitors.
