Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive profitable new and used earthmoving equipment sales across Sydney. You will build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to expand the Takeuchi and Toyota product range.

Working with the Sales & Product Manager - Earthmoving, you will present solutions, demonstrate equipment, and support campaigns and events.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in earthmoving or related industries.
• Track record of achieving sales targets and building long‑term customer relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills across standard business systems and CRM.
• Proactive, customer‑focused approach with a drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth through the sale of new and used earthmoving and construction equipment.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across a diverse customer base.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your territory.
• Conduct customer site visits, equipment demonstrations, and product presentations.
• Prepare quotations, estimates, and tender submissions in accordance with company policies.
• Provide customers with technical product advice and equipment recommendations.
• Support sales and marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
• Monitor market activity and provide feedback on customer trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Assist with specialised equipment sales and technical product applications where required.
• Represent TMHA and Takeuchi at industry events, field days, trade shows, and customer functions.

About The Role

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable new and used equipment sales throughout the Sydney territory. You'll build strong relationships with customers, identify new business opportunities, and provide expert product solutions that help our customers succeed.
