Job summary

Toro Australia is seeking an Area Sales Manager – Turf/Commercial to drive sales growth across Sydney to Northern NSW. You will build dealer partnerships, deliver product demonstrations, and lead territory development with a focus on customer success.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will manage dealer performance, provide training and support, monitor market trends, and prepare forecasts and CRM updates while travel is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in equipment or turf sales
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills
• Proven ability to influence, negotiate and close sales
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Sound commercial acumen with ability to analyse sales performance and market opportunities
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader team
• Understanding of mechanical equipment and its applications
• Proactive, customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives
• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective dealers
• Monitor dealer performance and implement strategies to improve sales growth and profitability
• Identify market opportunities and recruit new dealers where required
• Provide dealer training, sales support, and product knowledge
• Conduct regular product demonstrations for dealers and end users
• Support local marketing campaigns, field days, trade shows, and promotional activities
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Investigate and resolve customer issues relating to products, pricing, deliveries, and accounts
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, expense submissions, and CRM updates
• Promote finance solutions and ancillary products to support sales outcomes
• Ensure compliance with company policies, WHSE requirements, and ethical business standards
