Job summary

Middy’s Electrical is seeking an ambitious Switchboard Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth across the Victoria region. You will primarily sell switchboards, with potential involvement in Motor Control & Drives and Final Distribution to a diverse customer base including Industrial Electricians, End Users and OEMs.

This role emphasises frontline selling, building strong customer relationships, and executing business plans rather than desk-bound management.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Fitter qualifications would be preferable.
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Computer skills including Office 365 and CRM an advantage.
• Good time management & organisational skills.
• Understanding customers’ needs.
• Product knowledge.
• Attention to detail.
• A willingness to continue training & development is essential.
• A valid full driver’s licence is required with a clean driving record.

The Role

Reporting to the Industrial Manager, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated person to join our specialised sales team as an Switchboard Business Development Manager. The role is to generate profitable growth in Victoria region. You will be Primarily responsible for selling switchboards however other Industrial products including Motor Control & Drives, Final Distribution and solutions to a diverse customer base including Industrial Electricians, End Users and OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers.) may be required. You will be passionate about building strong customer relationships and implementing and executing business plans for Middy's Branches. This means leading from the front, showing initiative and being actively involved in sales activities. This is not a role for people that like managing from a computer in an office.
