Job summary

HP&CP Australia, a Victorian electrical switchboard manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Switchboard Wirer/Assembler to join its Carrum Downs workshop. You will assemble and wire switchboards from GA drawings to meet quality standards and work on a range of projects.

You’ll read electrical diagrams, mount components, terminate wiring, fabricate copper busbar, and perform pre-dispatch inspections to ensure boards match drawings. Immediate start and permanent full-time role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience wiring or assembling switchboards or control panels.
• Ability to read GA drawings, single-line diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from GA drawings and wiring schematics.
• Mount and install circuit breakers, switchgear and DIN rail components.
• Run, terminate, crimp and label cabling to drawings.
• Fabricate busbar, including cutting, bending and drilling copper busbar.
• Perform quality checks and pre-dispatch inspections.
• Identify and fix defects during assembly.
