Job summary

M. Brodribb Pty Ltd is seeking a Factory Team Member and Assembler for a 2 month contract in Melbourne's Glen Iris area.

You will wire and assemble industrial switchboard panels under the direction of electrical engineers, using schematic and wire schedules. The role requires hands-on electrical panel or switchboard experience, comfort with basic power and hand tools, strong attention to safety, and good teamwork to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on electrical panel or switchboard experience.
• Experience with basic power and hand tools.
• Competent in layout and wiring to a schematic with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of safety principals.

Responsibilities

• Point-to-point wiring, routing, stripping, crimping of lugs, torqueing terminal blocks per spec.
• Install wiring and harnesses within controls panel and run cable terminations.

Job description

Factory Team Member and Assembler 2 Month contract

Wiring and building industrial switchboard type panels based on schematic and/or wire schedules. You'll be working under the direction of our electrical engineers in our modern premises in Glen Iris, very near to train and bus transport and the Monash Freeway.

Key responsibilities

• Performing point to point wiring, having knowledge of standard wiring procedures which includes proper wire routing, stripping, crimping of lugs, torque terminal blocks per specification and proper wire termination
• Installing the wiring and harnesses within controls panel and running the wiring and cable terminations

About you

• Preferably 3+ years of hands-on electrical panel or switchboard builder experience
• Experience with basic power and hand tools
• Must be competent in layout and wiring to a schematic with minimal supervision
• Be a people person with a good attitude
• Have organization skills and ability to start and stop multiple tasks
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions
• Be highly motivated
• Must currently reside within the greater Melbourne area
• Have worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of Safety principals
