Job summary

MPE Custom Switchboards Pty Ltd in Smithfield, NSW, invites 1st and 2nd year electrical apprentices to join our switchboard workshop. This full-time apprenticeship includes paid TAFE and hands-on training with our experienced electricians in a supportive team.

You'll learn to assemble switchboards, install and maintain equipment, read electrical drawings, perform testing and safety checks, and set out panels and control wiring. Ongoing progression in a growing industry.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in or about to start a 1st or 2nd year electrical apprenticeship.
• Solid with maths and English.
• Team player who is keen to learn and shows up ready to work.
• Safety-conscious with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

MPE Custom Switchboards is a specialist switchboard manufacturer based in Smithfield. We build quality electrical switchboards and take pride in growing our own tradespeople — properly, not just throwing you in the deep end. Work in our workshop, not alone on a job site, with experienced electricians backing you every step.

The opportunity

We're growing, and we want 1st and 2nd year apprentices who want to learn a genuinely specialised trade. You'll work alongside experienced electricians and pick up skills most apprentices don't get exposed to until much later — or ever.

What you'll learn
