Job summary

St Kevin’s College in Melbourne invites applications for a casual Swimming Instructor to join our team at The Wilding Centre. You will conduct in-water lessons for junior classes and contribute to a supportive, energetic aquatic program.

The role requires a current coaching qualification, First Aid and WWCC, with a focus on safety, communication, and motivation. Hours are Monday to Friday, offering flexible, part-time engagement at this premier facility.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Swimming Instructor is preferred.
• Ability to conduct swimming lessons in the water for junior classes.
• WWCC and First Aid certifications expected or required.
• AustSwim/Swim Australia accreditation is preferred.
• Eligible to work in Australia is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for junior classes in the water.
• Deliver engaging and safe aquatic instruction within The Wilding Centre.
• Maintain high standards of safety and supervision during sessions.

The successful applicant will be located in The Wilding Centre, an indoor sports and aquatic centre incorporating a25 metre, 8 laneindoor swimming pool with tiered spectator seating, a 2-court basketball stadium, and weights training area.

This is a casual position with hours between Monday to Friday.Please note: The role will require you to conduct swimming lessons to our junior classes in the water not by providing instructions from the sidelines.

About You

You have previous experience as a Swimming Instructor with exceptional communication skills and are known for your competitive spirit. In addition you have:

• Preferably -Development Coach (Bronze) License or Advanced Coach (Silver) License
• AustSwim or Swim Australia qualifications
• First Aid Certificate
• WWCC
• Applicants must have a 'right to work' in Australia
