Job summary

Y Ballarat is seeking a passionate Swimming Instructor to join Y Learn and Swim in a permanent part-time role. You will deliver engaging lessons to children and support day‑to‑day Swim School operations with the coordinator.

You will work 30 hours per week at the Y Learn and Swim, earning an hourly rate starting at $32.34. This role focuses on child safety, positive environments and high-quality teaching within a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification – Course Code SISSS00112.
• Pool Lifeguard – Course Code SISSS00133 (or willingness to obtain).
• Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate – SISSS00011 (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality swimming lessons to infants, toddlers and school-aged children.
• Support day-to-day operations of the Swim School alongside the Swim School Coordinator.
• Assist with administrative tasks and wider team activities to ensure smooth program delivery.
