Aligned Leisure is seeking a Swim Captain to support the Learn to Swim program and lead delivery across classes and staff. You will work with the Aquatic Lead to ensure high-quality lessons, safety, and a welcoming environment for students and families.

The role emphasises teamwork, coaching, and operational excellence, with mornings, evenings, and weekend shifts, and opportunities to contribute to child safety and program standards.

• Teacher of Infants and Toddler Qualification (Desirable).

• Support the Aquatic Lead with the day-to-day operation of the Learn to Swim program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – SWIM CAPTAIN

1. Leadership & Team Support

• Support the Aquatic Lead with the day-to-day operation of the Learn to Swim program.
• Provide guidance and support to Swim Teachers to ensure high-quality lesson delivery.
• Assist with staff training, mentoring and maintaining program standards.

2. Customer & Family Engagement

• Build strong relationships with students, parents and guardians.
• Act as a key point of contact for family enquiries, feedback and progression discussions.
• Ensure all families receive a welcoming, positive and professional experience.

3. Swim School Operations

• Support the coordination of classes, assessments and student progression.
• Monitor lesson quality and assist with teacher coverage where required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-presented Learn to Swim environment.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all activities are delivered in line with Aligned Leisure policies and safety requirements.
• Report and manage incidents, hazards and customer concerns appropriately.
• Promote a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.

5. Customer Service

• Deliver outstanding customer service and create positive experiences for all students and families.
• Support the growth and retention of the Learn to Swim program through exceptional engagement and communication.

The Swim Captain may be required to work a combination of mornings, evenings and weekends and undertake additional duties as directed by the Aquatic Lead.

Essential Qualifications andExperience:

Relevant industry experience

Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Qualification

Teacher of Infants and Toddler Qualification (Desirable)

The position will be subject to relevant pre-employment checkssuch as a Police Checkand mustmaintaina current working with children check

The successful applicant must hold or be willing toattainfirst aid and CPR qualifications
