Aligned Leisure is a casual fitness role seeking Gym Instructors and Personal Trainers to join our community-focused teams across Victoria. You will deliver professional fitness instruction, support members in achieving health goals, and promote safe, engaging sessions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III and IV in Fitness and/or GEL equivalent.
• Fitness Australia certification (if applicable per contract location).
• Previous and relevant industry experience.
• The position may be subject to relevant pre-employment checks such as a Police Check
• and must maintain a current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent.
• The successful applicant must hold or be willing to attain first aid and CPR qualifications

Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Fitness instruction

• Provide professional fitness instruction to all members and guests.
• Engage with each and every customer who enters the gymnasium.
• Create tailored, rewarding and fun fitness programs for members.
• Actively support initiatives to retain members.
• Ensure developed programs support a wide range of activities, including group fitness andsport and also utilise community assets including seasonal aquatic facilities, parks, gardensand other facilities and programs.
• Ensure instruction includes nutrition advice and promotes education and any nutritionprograms offered (within your level of training).
• Identify members at risk of leaving, providing additional support to maintain their fitnessprograms at the centre.
• Actively drive members into participation in other fitness programs including personaltraining, small group training and group fitness.
• Maintain an expert level knowledge of latest industry trends.
• Support the Head of Fitness & Programs in the delivery of health and fitness programs inaccordance with annual plans.

2. Gymnasium supervision

• Oversee the operation of the gymnasium.
• Be visibly present and engaging with all customers.
• Manage customer behaviour in line with etiquette guidelines.
• Welcome and educate new participants so they feel comfortable in the gymnasiumenvironment.
• Ensure equipment is used in a safe manner and undertake cleaning of equipment on eachshift.
• Ensure all reports, checklists and procedures are completed and signed off by the DutyCaptain.

3. Health and safety of all staff & customers

• Comply with all applicable policies and procedures.
• Oversee the evacuation the group fitness room(s) as directed by the Duty Captain and inaccordance with training.
• Implement and documents hazard and environment inspections, risk assessments, riskcontrols and corrective actions.
• Risk-assess work instructions to identify any hazards and take action to rectify any identifiedrisks.

4. Outstanding service delivery to all customers and stakeholders

• Aligned Leisure will be renowned for delivering outstanding service and providing memorableexperiences for our customers. Gym Instructors & Personal Trainers will be relentless inidentifying opportunities to provide exceptional service and will continuously ask themselves,“How would I want a member of my family to be treated in this situation?”
• Lead and deliver on our customer charter and service standards.Gym Instructors & Personal Trainers may be required to undertake other tasks as directed by the FitnessCaptain or other senior leaders.

Desired Skills and Experience
