Job summary

Arc @ UNSW is seeking a Producers Officer to organise and run sessions in the Urban Garden, supporting volunteers and developing the program. You’ll balance education with fun, creating welcoming spaces for UNSW students to learn practical sustainability skills.

This casual role offers hands-on experience outdoors and opportunities for growth. Average 10 hours per week with flexible hours, based on the uni timetable and assessment periods, at a casual hourly rate of $35.68 on UNSW Kensington

Qualifications

• Current UNSW student in 2027.
• Genuine interest in the program goals and getting others involved.
• Understanding UNSW students' diverse needs and experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid organisation and time management skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and adapting when things change.
• Gardening knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver events and activations in the Urban Garden.
• Assist in term plans, timelines, rosters and behind-the-scenes logistics.
• Recruit, coordinate and support volunteers, building a positive community.
• Track volunteer hours and metrics, supporting eligibility and program growth.
• Complete key admin tasks like risk assessments and safety briefings.
