Job summary

Arc UNSW is seeking a Savers Officer to coordinate and deliver initiatives that support UNSW students facing cost-of-living pressures. You will plan workshops, activate campaigns, and support resource redistribution and volunteer engagement on campus, creating positive experiences for the UNSW community.

Arc Savers is Arc's cost-of-living support program, helping UNSW students access practical resources, develop life skills, and feel supported throughout their university journey. Through workshops, campaigns, resource redistribution initiatives, Borrowing Centre, Career Closet, Second Life Hub, and other student-focused services, Arc Savers works to make student life more affordable, accessible, and sustainable.

As the Savers Officer, you'll help coordinate and deliver initiatives that directly support students facing cost-of-living pressures. From planning workshops and activations to supporting resource redistribution programs and volunteer engagement, you'll play a key role in creating positive and meaningful experiences for the UNSW community.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

As the Savers Officer, you’ll work collaboratively with your co-officer to ensure the smooth delivery of the Arc Savers program through the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support the delivery of Arc Savers initiatives, events, workshops, and campaigns focused on improving student wellbeing and reducing cost-of-living pressures.
• Support the day-to-day operation of services and programs, including resource redistribution initiatives and student-facing activities.
• Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers while fostering a welcoming and inclusive community.
• Work collaboratively with students, Arc departments, UNSW stakeholders, and external partners to deliver impactful programs.
• Assist with administration, communications, reporting, marketing activities, and program evaluation.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

SELECTION CRITERIA

• A UNSW student in 2027.
• Demonstrated project coordination, administration, and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of student needs and the ability to incorporate these into program delivery.
• Passion for student wellbeing, affordability initiatives, and community engagement.

DESIRABLE

• Leadership experience within student, volunteer, or community settings.
• Interest in affordability, sustainability, resource redistribution, or student wellbeing programs.
