Job summary

Deloitte in Sydney is seeking an Analyst for Sustainability & Climate Change Assurance to build foundational experience and work with some of Australia’s most complex organisations.

You'll support engagement teams delivering sustainability and climate reporting assurance across diverse client bases, testing data flows and disclosures against evolving standards, and collaborating with global colleagues to strengthen controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Interest in sustainability, climate reporting and disclosure of non-financial information.
• Foundational experience in sustainability, climate reporting, assurance, accounting, audit or related through work/internships.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISSB, ASRS, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, GRI, SASB or NGER.
• Degree in sustainability, environment, science, finance, accounting or related.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with data/reporting.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn in fast-evolving area.
• Exposure to GHG emissions accounting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement teams delivering sustainability and climate reporting assurance.
• Assess how sustainability information flows and if it meets standards.
• Test documentation and analysis across ISSB, ASRS, CSRD, NGER, GRI.
• Collaborate with financial auditors, data specialists and climate experts.
