Job summary

Vision Surveys (QLD) is seeking a full-time Construction Surveyor to join our team. This role operates on a drive-in, drive-out roster 2 weeks on, 1 week off, travelling to Gladstone from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast.

You’ll deliver high-quality surveying services across construction and civil projects while maintaining roster discipline. Proficiency with Leica or Trimble equipment, experience with 12d/Magnet/AutoCAD, and a relevant degree or diploma are essential for success in

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Surveying or related discipline.
• Proven surveying experience in construction or civil projects.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys, site measurements and data collection
• Prepare survey plans, reports and spatial data outputs
• Operate surveying instruments including GPS, total stations and digital levels
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications, legislation and safety requirements
• Liaise with clients, engineers, site managers and internal teams
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
• Report to and communicate with the Survey Manager

About the Role

Vision Surveys is seeking a full-time Construction Surveyor to join our team. This role operates on a drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off, travelling to Gladstone from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying services across construction and civil projects while enjoying the flexibility of a structured roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys, site measurements and data collection
• Prepare survey plans, reports and spatial data outputs
• Operate surveying instruments including GPS, total stations and digital levels
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications, legislation and safety requirements
• Liaise with clients, engineers, site managers and internal teams
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
• Report to and communicate with the Survey Manager

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

• Proficient with Leica OR Trimble surveying equipment
• Experience using surveying software including 12d, Magnet and AutoCAD advantageous
• Degree or Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline
• Proven experience working as a Surveyor or in a similar surveying role
• Understanding of land surveying standards, processes and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong communication and organisational capabilities
• Current open driver’s licence
