Job summary

Unknown Company in Hervey Bay is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team on civil and pipeline projects. This full-time permanent role focuses on accurate set-out, data management, and collaboration with project delivery teams to ensure timely and safe outcomes.

You will work with Trimble systems and 12D, maintain survey control networks, and mentor junior staff while upholding QA standards across on-site and office activities in the Fraser Coast area.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying or Spatial Science (must)
• Current Drivers Licence
• Background in Survey processes
• Experience with Trimble systems and hardware
• Experience managing multiple projects
• Strong numerical accuracy and analytical skills
• Establish and maintain project survey control networks
• Knowledge of Engineering principles and project delivery
• Computer literacy, especially 12D
• Preparing and managing machine control data
• Work with engineers and site teams to resolve technical issues
• Maintaining survey records, QA documentation and data integrity
• Ability to work unsupervised

Responsibilities

• Import data into system for drafting of final plans
• Update and keep current set out and/or models and data
• Convert digital data and models to GPS file
• Accurately upload and maintain data in survey instruments and other plant and equipment
• Monitor and load upgrades for machines as required
• Review and assess plans for accuracy against markings and project specs onsite
• Plan and coordinate survey set out considering project continuity and machinery use
• Perform computer-based calculations prior to site arrival
• Mentor staff and develop departmental talent for future growth

The Opportunity

We havea great careeropportunity available foranEngineering Surveyor to join our highly professional and skilled Infrastructure team on a variety of Civil and pipeline projects.Thisis afull-time permanent role based in Hervey Bay. You’llwork closely with teams acrossproject delivery to ensuretimely, safe, andaccurateproject outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Import data into system for drafting of final plans.
• Update and keep current set out and or models and data.
• Convert digital data, and models to GPS file.
• Accurately upload andmaintaindata in survey instruments and other plant and equipment.
• Monitor and track that machines have current software, and load upgrades asrequired.
• Reviewand assess plans for accuracy against markings and project specifications onsite.
• Plan and coordinate survey set out taking into consideration continuity of projects andutilisation of machinery and contractors.
• Conduct all computer based / electronic calculations prior to arrival on site
• Be positive and proactive in their approach to the coaching,mentoringand training ofrelevant staffandidentifyand develop staff within the department for the benefit of theorganisationandto meet future growth and needs of the company.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Degree qualified in Surveying or Spatial Science
