Job summary

Surgery Partners in Victoria, AU is seeking a Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech / OR Technician to support operating room teams under the supervision of surgeons and nurses.

You will prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, maintain sterile technique, prep rooms, assist with patient safety, and participate in counts and specimen handling. BLS certification and enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program are required; prior clinical exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and actively completing an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Establish and maintain sterile field before, during, and after procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and prep, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Perform counts for sponge, needle, instrument, and supply tiles according to policy.
• Assist with specimen handling and post-procedure care.
