Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking Instrument Technicians (Grade 1-4) for casual roles within the Central Sterilising Unit and Satellite Reprocessing Unit. You will reprocess reusable medical and surgical equipment, ensuring compliance with Barwon Health policies and AS 5369:2023.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV/III in Sterilisation Services required.
• Experience in disinfection and sterilisation of medical equipment.
• Ability to work across flexible rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess reusable medical and surgical equipment per policy and AS 5369:2023.
• Handle, store and distribute sterile and contaminated items safely.
• Maintain accurate records of reprocessing activities.
• Identify and report faults to ensure safe operations.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide customer service.
• Support safety, quality improvement and mandatory training.
