Job summary

GHD is seeking a Surface Water Engineer to join our NSW/ACT team. You will develop GoldSim water balance models for mine water management, work with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver complex water resources projects across Australia.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.
• Between 5 & 12 years of experience in a similar role in a consulting environment.
• Experience in surface water engineering, mine water management or water resources consulting.
• Strong working knowledge of GoldSim, including development and application of water balance models.
• Understanding of mine water management practices, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Strong client relationship skills and project management skills in water resources projects

Responsibilities

• Develop GoldSim water balance models for mine water management studies and planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mining, dams, tailings and environmental services.
• Deliver multidisciplinary projects and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to proposals, business development and growth of surface water capability.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical reviews.
