Job summary

Kool Beanz Casuarina is seeking a passionate Supportive Care Educator for the Senior Kindy room. The role focuses on providing dedicated inclusion support to children requiring additional support, while collaborating with families and professionals to promote development and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III/ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, current Blue Card, and experience supporting children with additional needs.

The Opportunity

• 5 hours per day providing dedicated Inclusion Support to children requiring additional support.
• 2.5 hours per day working within the normal educator-to-child ratio in the Senior Kindy room.
• Opportunity to work 5 days per week, with the fifth day working within the normal ratio to support lunch covers, breaks and the wider team.
• Work collaboratively with educators, families, therapists and other professionals to support children's individual development and wellbeing.

Skills And Experience

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent/approved qualification.
• Current Blue Card/Working with Children Check.
• Experience working as an early childhood educator supporting children with additional needs.
• Experience supporting children with autism or behavioural challenges would be highly regarded.
• Ability to implement inclusive, educational and play-based programs.
• Experience supporting children's self-care, toileting, feeding, communication and social development would be advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, educators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills.
• A genuine commitment to creating an inclusive environment where every child can participate and belong.
