Job summary

Calvary Care is seeking Support Workers for Adelaide and the Southern Fleurieu region to assist aged and high-need clients at home with daily living tasks, personal care, and respite support. You will help clients maintain independence while living in their own homes, following Calvary's service model.

Successful candidates will hold a Certificate III in IS/Home & Community Services or equivalent, have a current driver's license, first aid, and NDIS/Police clearances or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Certificate III or equivalent in aged care or community services.
• Current full drivers license.
• Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR.
• NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Police Clearance (within 6 months or willingness to obtain).
• Access to internet and ability to use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Promote client choice, meaningful routines and activities.
• Work shifts in set rostering blocks and patterns.
• Be able to drive client/company vehicles.
• Support clients at home with daily living and personal care.
• Report changes in health or care plans and request additional services.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures across Calvary.

About the role

We are looking for Support Workers to service the Adelaide and Southern Fleurieu Peninsulaarea. Your role will beto assist a diverse range of clients including aged and high needs clients with activities of daily living and providing support services in their own home such as Domestic Assistance, Social Support, Respite and Personal Care at their home. We strive to provide high quality care to allow our clients to feel as independent as possible while living in their own home.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote Client Choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the client as per Calvary home Care's Service Delivery Model.
• Ability to work shifts in set time blocks/pattern rostering.
• Ability to drive client/company vehicles
• Proactive in supporting clients to enhance their life choices both at home and in the community
• Report changes in client's health, care plans or if additional services are needed
• Review regularly communicationsreceived viaemail, support Worker Connect and other communicationmethods to ensure current knowledge of policies, procedures and activities across Calvary.
• Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and the health and safety of others within the workplace.
• Protect the rights and confidentiality of clients by ensuring the care provided maintains client dignity and privacy
  • Completed a minimum of Certificate III in Individualised Support, Home & Community Services, Aged Care or equivalent
  • Current full drivers licence
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR
  • Living in the Southern Suburbs or on the Southern Fleurieu(Highly desirable)
  • Reliable motor vehicle (including valid registration & full comprehensive third party insurance)
  • Smart mobile phone or device
  • NDIS Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Police Clearance (with in 6months or willingness to obtain one)
  • Access to the internet and experience using a computer, systems and applications
