Job summary

Calvary Health Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for the Inner West, travelling to clients’ homes and across the community. Permanent Part Time roles with flexible hours and days are available, offering NFP salary packaging benefits and career progression.

You will assist with activities of daily living, personal care, meal prep and transport, while promoting client choice and meaningful routines within their home and community environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support, or currently pursuing.
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a customer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfort with technology on smartphones, email and internet.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Support Worker your role will be to assist a diverse range of clients with activities of daily living in their homes and out in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with general domestic tasks, meal preparation and laundry assistance
• Supporting clients with personal care, respite care, social support and transport services
• Promote client choice, positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the client

About You

• A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support or working towards,
• Current and valid Driver’s Licence, insured, reliable motor vehicle and smart mobile phone
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
