Job summary

The Uniting Home Care team is seeking a Permanent Part-time Home Care Worker to support elderly clients in the Illawarra region. You will assist with everyday tasks, enable independence at home, and help travel to appointments and activities. A Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent is required, along with a driving licence and a compassionate approach.

• Provisional or full Australian driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Help at home with housekeeping, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Transport clients to appointments, shopping trips and social activities.
• Provide personal care support including hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance and medication administration.

Education

Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support or equivalent

Australian driving license

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
