Job summary

Uniting Nowra is seeking a dedicated Home Care Worker to deliver essential in-home care to elderly clients across Nowra, Kiama and surrounds. The role is permanent part-time with Monday to Sunday shifts and a competitive pay rate plus mileage reimbursement.

You will support daily living, promote independence, and work within a compassionate team to enhance clients’ quality of life in their familiar homes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care is preferred.
• Empathetic, resourceful, and aligned with Uniting’s values.

Responsibilities

• Help with housekeeping, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Transport clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities.
• Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and medication administration.

Pay Rate: $32.61 - $37.68 per hour + 99c per km and travel time

• Personal Care: Support with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, meal assistance, and medication administration.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in aged or community care is preferred, or a strong desire to begin a career in aged care.
• Empathetic and resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
• Flexibility to accommodate the evolving needs and schedules of our clients.
• A provisional or full Australian driving license and access to a comprehensively insured, reliable vehicle.
