Job summary

Just Better Care Adelaide is seeking a Community Support Professional (Casual) to deliver in‑home aged care and disability support across Adelaide, with shifts scheduled locally and drive times limited to 25 minutes.

The role offers casual employment with regular weekday hours (8:00 am–5:00 pm) and start rates from $43 per hour, including casual loading, penalties and superannuation. A friendly, supportive team and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships.
• Comfortable using a mobile app for rostering and recording notes/feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing and medication assistance.
• Offer social support and transport to activities, appointments and errands.
• Assist with light domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry and meal prep.
• Support using aids and personal equipment.
• Assist customers with complex or challenging needs.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress to the team.
• Provide progress updates after each service.

Summary

• Role: Community Support Professional (Casual)
• Where: We support customers across Adelaide and aim to schedule your shifts within your local area, with no more than 25 minutes of driving.
• Pay: Rates start at $43 per hour including casual loading + penalties + superannuation.
• Shifts: Regular Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm

Duties and responsibilities

• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well‑being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
• Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Criminal Record Check
• Updated First Aid, CPR & Manual Handling Certificates
• Current Driver's License
• Reliable access to a roadworthy vehicle.
• Smart phone with internet access
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, Disability Services or a related qualification is desirable but not essential.
