Calvary Elouera in Torquay, VIC is seeking a dedicated Support Worker - Catering to prepare meals and assist the Chef/ Cook in delivering healthy, nutritious dining for our residents.

You'll follow food safety guidelines, cater to dietary needs and work as part of a supportive team in a health-care setting.

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs and dietary requirements.
• Ensure environmental service standards and residents' living environment are clean and safe.
• Adhere to the National Food Safety Program and complete food safety records.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manners and at the appropriate temperature.
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal service as per guidelines.

About the role

As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents.

Your main duties will include:

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manner and at the appropriate temperature
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal services as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide.
