Calvary Health Care in Dandenong, VIC is seeking a Support Worker - Catering to provide healthy, hearty meals prepared by our Chef for residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef and team to deliver a high-quality catering service in a residential setting.

Your duties include preparing daily meals and beverages, accommodating dietary requirements and allergies, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining food safety records in line with the National Food Safety Program.

Formación

• Current Food Handlers Certificate.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• High standards in food preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages meeting individual resident needs including dietary requirements and allergies.
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and the living environment remains clean and safe.
• Maintain food safety records and prevent cross-contamination per the National Food Safety Program.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented form at the correct temperature.
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal service as per guidelines.

About The Role

As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents.

Your main duties will include:

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manner and at the appropriate temperature
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal services as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide.
