Job summary

Aruma in Umina Beach, NSW is seeking casual Support Workers to empower people with disability to live the life they choose and participate fully in their community.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living tasks and help participants build independence, confidence and social connections across diverse settings.

We offer flexible casual shifts, ongoing learning and a supportive, values-driven team focused on respect and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must have genuine passion for supporting people with disability.

What You'll Be Doing

About You

• Has a genuine passion for supporting people with disability.
• Is flexible and available for a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, sleepovers, or active nights.
• Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Communicates effectively and works well within a team.
• Brings a commitment to respect, accountability, and person-centred practice.
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) relevant clearances and certifications, including NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification.
• Previous experience in disability, community services, aged care, or support work.
• Knowledge of the NDIS and person-centred supports.
