Job summary

RDNS Your Choice HomeCare in Melbourne's outer suburbs is seeking a compassionate Home Care Support Worker to help older clients remain in their own homes with dignity and quality care. Your role covers domestic duties, personal care, and mobility support, plus transport to appointments, companionship, and proactive communication with supervisors.

A valid drivers licence and own car are required, with travel up to 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Support or similar.
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience in home care (aged care or in-home support).
• Disability support experience alone does not meet the requirements for this role.
• Current First Aid, CPR and Police Check.
• Valid Drivers Licence and willingness to travel up to 30 mins to services. Own Car mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for engaging in friendly conversations.
• Confidence to work independently.
• A caring and compassionate nature with the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our elderly clients.

Responsibilities

• Domestic Assistance: Provide light housekeeping duties including cleaning, meal preparation, ironing and laundry.
• Personal Care: Provide personal care including assistance with dressing, grooming, showering, bathing, toileting, nutrition and eating.
• Transport and Mobility: Facilitate community access, recreational, shopping, errands, attending appointments and leisure options by transporting by vehicle.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to our elderly clients.
• Engage in friendly conversations and meaningful interactions.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of our clients.
• Report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.

Position: Home Care Support Worker

About You:
