Job summary

The Salvation Army in Surry Hills, NSW, Australia is seeking a values-driven AOD Support Worker for a casual role based in Sydney. You will contribute to recovery-oriented programs and maintain a safe, structured environment in line with TSA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate 4 qualification relevant to the work performed.
• A current and valid First Aid Certificate.
• A current NSW driver's licence.
• Experience working with people with AOD and co-occurring issues.
• AOD Certificate 4 Core unit or willingness to undertake if required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver recovery-oriented support aligned with TSA policies and procedures.
• Implement risk management and safety protocols across all activities.
• Facilitate daily programs focused on health, communication, education and community engagement.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of care and progress on treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, and uphold compliance standards.
• Support medication self-administration and conduct drug testing.
