Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide high quality in-home aged care and disability support. You will support clients in Falcon with personal care, mobility, and daily activities, while coordinating through an app-based roster.

Strong communication and reliability are essential for building trust with clients and families. Applicants should have mandatory checks, a driver’s license, a valid First Aid certificate, and ideally a Certificate III/IV in relevant care

We are currently looking for support workers around Falcon having high care skills and have ample experience in this industry for a client with following needs:

• Client has spinal cord injury and acquired brain injury
• Has a super pubic catheter
• Needs bowel care (suppository an stimulation)
• Hoist transfers and full personal care required
• Client needs 24/7 supports

Duties and responsibilities include:

Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance

Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments

Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation

Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment

Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs

Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress

Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills

Ability to build rapport & good working relationships

Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
• Proof of Vaccination(where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
