Job summary

Caring Queensland is seeking passionate Support Workers in Hervey Bay to provide client-centered support to people with disabilities. The role is SIL-focused with regular shifts, including evenings and sleepovers.

Prior experience is welcomed, with starting pay depending on experience and qualifications. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for staff who work at least ten hours per week and stay for 26 weeks, with exceptions for casual staff.

• Provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to clients with disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support clients in participating in community activities and achieving personal goals.
• Mentor other support workers and foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job description

$1000 Bonus for new staff employed for more than ten (10) hours per week who stay employed continuously for 26 weeks. (This offer not available for casual staff)

Caring Queensland is currently looking for Support Workers, in Hervey Bay who are passionate about providing client centered individual support, who can think outside the box, and genuinely enjoy working with people. Applicants with experience will be well regarded, starting rate will depend on previous experience and/or qualifications. This is a SIL role

The minimum hours you must be able to work are every Monday 3pm to 10pm, sleepover then 6am to 9am Tuesday, Thursday fortnightly 5pm to 10pm, sleepover then 6am to 9am Friday and 6pm to 10pm, sleepover then 6am to 9am Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to clients with disabilities.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Support clients in participating in community activities and achieving their personal goals.
• Mentor other support workers, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and care provided.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
