Job summary

Endeavour Foundation is recruiting Support Workers across Ipswich and surrounding areas to empower people with disability to live independently.

Join a values-driven team in SIL homes, with a mix of day, afternoon, weekend, and sleepover shifts. Open availability including sleepovers is required.

You will support daily living skills, personal care and community participation, while promoting inclusion and person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability support is required or highly regarded.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and sleepovers.
• Proficient computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook; able to document and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support people to achieve NDIs goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene needs where required.
• Support meal planning, cooking, light household cleaning and community participation.
• Assist with appointments, recreational activities and social outings.
• Help people maintain connections with family, friends and community services.
• Promote independence, choice and active participation in everyday life.

We have Casual and Permanent Part-Time opportunities available across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Ipswich and surrounding areas, offering a mix of day, afternoon, weekend, active overnight and sleepover shifts.

To be considered for this role, you will need open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts.

Key Duties

• Supporting people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing daily living skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern.

You will be confident providing personal care and daily living support while creating a safe, respectful and empowering environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations and build meaningful relationships is essential.

Most importantly, you are passionate about empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

We Also Require

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is highly regarded.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, early mornings, active overnight shifts and sleepovers.
• Good computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work).
• Open Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
