Job summary

Harden Grange is seeking a Casual Support Services Worker to join our team in Harden, NSW. You will assist with kitchen, laundry and cleaning tasks, ensuring high standards of infection control and resident comfort.

You will report to the Support Services Team Leader and support weekday night operations, maintaining cleanliness, meal distribution and documentation across our 45-bed home.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar aged care role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• NDIS Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dietary services, including meals and drinks.
• Assist the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and kitchen duties.
• Distribute meals to residents and dining room services.
• Clean resident rooms and facility comprehensively.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished.
• Contribute to laundry service including item checking and labelling.

The Role

We are offering a Casual opportunity for a Support Services Worker, including cleaning, and kitchen hands to join our wonderful facility based in Harden, NSW. Reporting to the Support Services Team Leader, you’ll support weekday night operations by cleaning resident rooms and shared spaces, managing laundry services, and maintaining infection control standards across our 45-bed home.

What You Will Do

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties

• All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
• Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labelling

What you’ll bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
• NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
• Strong attention to detail
