Job summary

Apollo Care Centre, part of the Apollo Care Alliance, is seeking casual cleaning and laundry staff to support weekday night operations across its care homes in NSW. You will maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and resident comfort while working in a supportive, not-for-profit environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, you’ll support weekday night operations by maintaining cleanliness and laundry services across both Millrace and Haddington homes, ensuring infection control standards are met. Our Support Services staff are integral to the wellbeing of our residents, delivering high-quality services. We are currently looking for a Casual Cleaning, & Laundry staff to join our team who are passionate about making a difference.

What You Will Do

Cleaning & Laundry:

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Cleaning communal and dining areas
• Cleaning and sorting laundry
• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
• Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
• Completing required documentation and reporting

Catering

• Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
• Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties
• Dining room services
• Providing excellent personalised service to our residents
• Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards
• Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.
• Completion of documentation

What You Will Bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Currently hold and maintain a NDIS Workers Screen (or willing to obtain) - Mandatory
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
