Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the Support Services Department within a hospital setting. You will oversee Food Services, Environmental Services, Porters and Cleaners, directing staff and ensuring quality outcomes.

In this role you will supervise daily staffing, maintain rosters, ensure food safety standards, and input menu data.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007.
• Current PSA Certificate or equivalent.
• NDIS check, or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in a commercial cook chill kitchen.
• Previous experience in Environmental Cleaning in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all areas within Support Services including Food, Environmental Services, Porters and Cleaners.
• Daily staff rostering and maintaining rostering systems.
• Ensure documentation and procedures meet Food Safety standards.
• Collect and input inpatient menu data into the menu system.
• Oversee the centralised food service system and meal plating.
• Complete monthly internal audits for cleaning, food, and surveys.
• Manage orders and stock levels; maintain daily cleaning schedules.
• Provide staff training and ensure OH&S processes are followed.
• Report staff issues promptly to the Manager.

About the Role

Coordinators provide a complete service to meet activity, quality & service standards by performing tasks in line with established duties list and standards within the Support Service Service Department. They are responsible for the day to day operations of the department.

Coordinators are responsible for daily supervision of all team members and quality outcomes

• Lead and direct all areas within Support Services. This includes Food Services/Environmental Services/Porters/Cleaners
• Daily staff replacement and maintaining all data based staff rostering systems
• Ensure all documentation and procedures are maintained to abide by Food safety Standards and programs
• Collect and collate all inpatient menus and data input into inpatient menu system
• Oversee the daily food service centralised system and participate in meal plating
• Ensure all internal audits for cleaning, food, food surveys are completed monthly
• Ensure all orders are completed and stock levels maintained
• Ensure all daily cleaning schedules are maintained
• Ensure all staff training is undertaken and up to date
• Ensure all OH&S processes and procedures are completed as required
• Ensure all staff issues are reported promptly to Manager

Classifications for this position will be Coordinator: GN1 ($76,442 per annum pro rata)
