Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking a dedicated cleaner to join the Melbourne VIC campus. You will contribute to efficient cleaning and housekeeping across hospital areas, including offices, labs and clinical zones, with shift options at 5:30pm, 6:00pm or 6:30pm.

Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred; you will work as part of a team, with duties spanning waste removal, floor care and general tidiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, preferably in a health care environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
• Willing to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hospital areas including offices, labs, and clinical zones.
• Waste removal of general, clinical, sharps, recyclables and confidential waste.
• Floor care: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, polishing and steam cleaning.
• Dusting/damp wiping of high and low areas, fixtures and sinks.
• Bathrooms and general tidiness of service areas.

$57,217 - $60,189 a year

• Part time permanent position, 4hrs per day, Monday to Friday
• Start time will be either, 5:30pm, 6:00pm or 6:30pm
• Fitzroy location, close to public transport
• Excellent benefits including salary packaging

About the Role

You will actively participate as a member of the cleaning team and ensure the delivery of efficient and responsive cleaning and housekeeping services across the St. Vincent's Hospital Campus. Areas include offices, specialty labs, research units and clinical areas.

Waste Removal: general waste, clinical and sharps waste, recyclables and confidential waste as per waste management policies. Restocking of bins and sharps containers as necessary

Floor Maintenance: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, buffing and steam cleaning floors.

Detail dusting/damp wiping: all low & high reach areas including fixtures fittings, equipment, vents and walls and sinks

Bathrooms: including toilets, hand basins, shower rooms/baths and facilities

General Tidiness: maintain general tidiness of public and all service areas.

Classifications for this position will range between IN18 - IN19 ($57,217 - $60,189 per annum pro rata)

Your Contribution

Experience in cleaning (preferably in a health care environment)

Experience in floor care maintenance, including steam cleaning, polishing and buffing (desirable)

Able to work effectively as part of a team

Able to work under minimal supervision

A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
