Yackandandah Health, proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, is seeking experienced Support Services Workers for Cleaning and Laundry at our VIC facility in Yackandandah. This casual role offers flexible availability to suit your lifestyle while helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will bring prior experience in Aged Care, strong communication, and the ability to follow infection control and WHS practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably aged care.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is mandatory.
• Understanding of Resident Rights and Aged Care Standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining safety, quality, and hygiene standards
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, living areas
• Cleaning communal and dining areas
• Cleaning and sorting laundry
• Maintaining supplies of cleaning and hygiene products
• Adhere to infection control and WHS requirements
• Complete required documentation and reporting
• Ad hoc support to the broader team

The Role

We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Support Services Workers to join our team in Cleaning and Laundry roles at our facility in Yackandandah, VIC. This is a Casual role with a wide range of availabilities to suit your lifestyle. These positions are essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.

What you will do (Cleaning & Laundry)

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Cleaning communal and dining areas
• Cleaning and sorting laundry
• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
• Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required

What you will bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Hold NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain - mandatory)
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
