Job summary

Honeylight Consulting is seeking an experienced IT infrastructure professional to support, administer and improve client environments across on-premises, cloud and hybrid setups in Brisbane. You will resolve incidents, manage service requests and deliver practical technical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, clear communication and the ability to prioritise across competing demands while meeting service levels.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in an IT support, systems administration or infrastructure engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualisation, cloud services, backup and disaster recovery.
• Practical experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity controls, secure access, endpoint protection and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience with PowerShell or Bash scripting will be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills.
• A proactive, accountable and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant industry certifications will be well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain and troubleshoot servers, networks, cloud platforms, storage and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Configure and optimise routers, switches, firewalls, virtual private networks and related network services.
• Respond to incidents and service requests through ticketing systems, email, telephone and onsite support, meeting agreed service levels.
• Manage Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environments.
• Deploy and support physical and virtual servers, storage systems and Infrastructure as a Service environments.
• Implement, monitor and test backup, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, access control and other cybersecurity measures.
• Monitor system performance, complete root-cause analysis and implement preventative improvements that increase availability, security and scalability.
• Automate administration, deployment and maintenance activities using PowerShell and Bash.
• Support compliance with internal security policies and applicable data protection, information security and system management requirements.
• Provide clear technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders and contribute to the effective delivery of service partnership agreements.
