Job summary

Prysmian seeks a Production Planner based at the Dee Why site (North Sydney) to ensure daily, weekly and monthly production plans for the on-site factory. The role requires strong Excel skills and SAP experience to manage schedules and workflow.

You will coordinate daily planning meetings, oversee machine scheduling, track WIP, and ensure plans meet quality, safety and cost standards across factories. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits in a dynamic energy and telecom cable

Responsibilities

• Generate and interpret the plans for the system and coordinate daily production / planning meetings, setting the plan and monitoring WIP and status.
• Responsible for all machine planning activities within own area in conjunction with maintaining the workflow across factories.
• Ensure conformity with plans and specifications, maintaining engineering standards of quality, safety and cost.
• Establishing the schedule and issuing machine schedules to manufacturing (factory floor).
• Issue Journey Cards / Ticketing to Process Owners & Team Leaders.
• Work with the production team to deliver plan, maximize constraints and resolve issues that may impact workflow.
• Coordinate and manage WIP levels for the area in line with targets.
• Maintain and update production plan/schedule to track current month output performance.
• Point of contact for commercial in terms of production progress and tracking for own areas.
• Develop and maintain schedule adherence measures for key machines.
• Provide back-up support and coverage in other product areas as needed.
• Achieve Monthly SOP Plan.

About the Role

We are seeking a Production Planner, based at our Dee Why site (North Sydney). You will be responsible for ensuring the successful and efficient, daily, weekly and monthly plan for the factory on site. To successful in the role you will be an excel wiz and SAP experience is highly regarded.

What You'll Do:

• Generate and interpret the plans for the system and coordinate daily production / planning meetings - setting the plan, understanding the WIP, status, problem solving etc.
• Responsible for all machine planning activities within own area in conjunction with maintaining the workflow across factories.
• Ensuring conformity with plans and specification, ensuring engineering standards of quality, safety and cost.
• Establishing the schedule, issue machine schedule to manufacturing (factory floor).
• Issue Journey Cards / Ticketing to Process Owners & Designated Team Leaders.
• Work proactively with the production team to deliver plan, maximise constraints and resolve issues that may impact an effective workflow.
• Coordinate and manage the WIP levels for given area in line with agreed targets.
• Maintain and update production plan/schedule to track current month output performance.
• Point of contact for commercial in terms of production progress and tracking for own areas (joint spreadsheet)
• Develop and maintain effective schedule adherence measures for key machines
• Provide full back-up support and equivalent coverage in other product areas in times of absence.
• Achievement of Monthly SOP Plan
