Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Warehouse Manager in Australia to lead the drum shop and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate picking, loading, and on-time delivery. You will guide a team to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage inventory, and partner with stakeholders to align with business goals and budgets, while upholding Prysmian's values.

About the Role

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for delivering the drum shop and warehouse delivery plans in a safe, right first time and efficient manner. The primary aim of the role is to provide leadership to drum shop and warehouse staff in the day to day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all orders are picked, checked and loaded by Team Members with high levels of accuracy.

• Lead a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards and driving positive safety outcomes across the site.
• Deliver operational performance across warehouse and distribution activities, achieving targets for service, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Operational Excellence initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and optimise processes.
• Manage inventory, stocktake activities, and material utilisation to ensure accuracy, cost control, and effective working capital management.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support customer delivery, commercial objectives, and business performance.
• Monitor and manage operational budgets, cost centres, and cost reduction initiatives to achieve financial targets.
• Champion sustainability and continuous improvement programs aligned with Prysmian's values and business strategy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards while promoting best practice operations.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• You have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Strong operational, people management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive performance through engaged teams.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, quality systems, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in warehouse and distribution operations, including inventory management and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience managing cost, productivity, and service performance in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline are desirable.
