Job summary

Newmont Cadia Valley Operations in New South Wales seeks a Supervisor Project Engineering (Electrical) to lead underground electrical infrastructure projects from concept through handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget. The role sits in a residential site near Orange, with a 5/2 or 9-day fortnight roster and relocation assistance.

You will manage scopes, specifications, and design packages, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and drive risk management and successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
• Considerable experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects within underground mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, SAP, and MS Project, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Cadia is a major gold and copper mining operation in central New South Wales, about 25 kilometres from the city of Orange and 250 kilometres west of Sydney. The site is known for the Cadia East underground mine – one of the world’s largest gold deposits – which uses innovative block caving methods to produce gold doré and gold-rich copper concentrate. Your Impact

As a Supervisor Project Engineering (Electrical), you’ll lead the safe and efficient delivery of underground electrical infrastructure projects that support Cadia Cave Mining Projects' operational objectives. You’ll oversee projects from concept through handover, ensuring successful outcomes across safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
