Job description

About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster.

Your focus will be on managing site electrical projects, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

This is an 18-month contract with the potential to extend to 24 months.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical expertise and leadership in project initiation, cost estimation, budget submissions, and project delivery.
• Delivering electrical power and system engineering solutions, including HV, LV, and MV distribution, as well as project scoping, design, and commissioning.
• Managing contractors and ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Performing risk assessments, JSEAs, and safety investigations to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Reviewing and developing equipment strategies to align with statutory, Australian, and site standards.
• Driving innovation by managing changes to processes, equipment, or plant operations.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience in similar electrical project engineering roles, including some exposure to design work.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering.
• Experience with mineral processing plants and power distribution equipment.
• A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
