Job summary

CMI Hino Regency Park is seeking a Supervisor Pre-Delivery to lead the Pre-Delivery team and ensure all tasks are completed to schedule. The role requires a Heavy Vehicle Technician background with supervision experience and a current HR licence, coupled with strong diagnostic skills and people leadership.

You will drive quality processes, manage orders and costs for new vehicle prep, coordinate with manufacturers, and support training to develop team skills while ensuring excellent customer

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician and supervision skills or experience considered an advantage.
• Current HR licence is required.
• Demonstrated high-level diagnostic problem solving ability.
• Excellent ability to impart knowledge to technicians and apprentices.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Pre-Delivery team to meet all tasks on time.
• Drive quality processes to meet manufacturer delivery standards.
• Prepare and issue repair orders and final costs for new vehicle prep.
• Issue purchase orders to sub-contractors and suppliers as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with the manufacturer and coordinate requirements.
• Manage supplier quality issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Identify warranty concerns on vehicle arrival and coordinate rectification.
• Oversee new vehicle handover to customers and ensure timeliness.
• Provide training and coaching to the pre-delivery team to improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales and service to schedule tasks and ensure efficient vehicle deliveries.
• Conduct regular team performance reviews.

You will be required to

• Supervise the Pre-Delivery team to ensure all tasks are completed to specified timelines.
• Drive quality effective processes to ensure manufacturer quality standards are adhered to in the delivery of all vehicles
• Assist with the creation of relevant repair orders and final costing/invoicing pertaining to new vehicle preparation as outlined by the service and sales departments
• Issue purchase orders to sub-contractors and sublet suppliers as required for new vehicles
• Ensure relations with the manufacturer are maintained to the highest standards and coordinate manufacturer requirements
• Manage quality issues with suppliers, and work directly to get the best outcome
• Promptly identify potential warranty concerns on vehicle arrival and work with warranty team and sales departments for speedy rectification with minimal disruption to delivery schedules.
• Participate in new vehicle handover to customer as required by the sales department
• Ensure customer service matters are dealt with promptly and efficiently
• Provide support and training to pre delivery team to achieve desired customer satisfaction criteria
• Work closely with sales and service departments, advise on the delivery times of internal tasks, and ensure efficient deliveries of vehicles.
• Conduct team performance reviews as required

If you have

• Experience as a Heavy Vehicle Technician with required trade certificate / qualification
• Previous supervision skills / experience an advantage
• Current HR licence
• High level of problem solving / diagnostic skills
• Excellent ability to impart acquired knowledge to both technicians and apprentices
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
• Attention to detail with a customer focus
