Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a Core Yard Supervisor for Ernest Henry Operations in Queensland to lead the safe and efficient core yard. You will oversee core sample management, coordinate contractors, and drive safe operations while reporting into Geology leadership.

You will support a culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence, leading Field Technicians and geology loggers to ensure accurate data, timely shipments, and adherence to budget and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within mining or exploration.
• Experience leading teams, managing contractors, and driving performance outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience with operational systems, workflows, and reporting processes.
• Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Field Technicians and contract geology loggers.
• Oversee receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of core samples.
• Manage core yard workflows, systems, and processes.
• Coordinate contractors and stakeholders to support drilling and geology programs.
• Maintain equipment, manage inventory, and support budget requirements.
• Monitor data integrity, reporting and operational performance.

What’s the opportunity?

We are seeking a people-focused Core Yard Supervisor to lead the safe and efficient operation of our core yard facility at Ernest Henry Operations. Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will oversee core sample management, contractor coordination, and day-to-day core yard activities while driving a strong safety culture and operational excellence. Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a team of Field Technicians and contract geology loggers
• Overseeing the receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of core samples
• Managing core yard workflows, systems, and operational processes
• Coordinating contractors and stakeholders to support drilling and geology programs
• Maintaining equipment, manage inventory, and support budget requirements
• Monitoring data integrity, reporting, and operational performance.

• Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a supervisory or team leadership position within mining or exploration
