Job summary

Evolution Mining is seeking a people-focused Core Yard Supervisor to lead the safe, efficient operation of the core yard at Ernest Henry Operations. Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will oversee core sample management, contractor coordination and day-to-day yard activities.

You will drive safety, data integrity and operational excellence while mentoring a team of technicians and contract loggers, coordinating drilling programs and managing inventory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams in mining or exploration environments.
• Experience managing contractors and driving performance outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with operational workflows, reporting processes, and data integrity.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team of Field Technicians and contract geology loggers.
• Overseeing the receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of core samples.
• Managing core yard workflows, systems, and operational processes.
• Coordinating contractors and stakeholders to support drilling and geology programs.
• Maintaining equipment, manage inventory, and support budget requirements.
• Monitoring data integrity, reporting, and operational performance.

You are a proactive leader with strong organisational skills and a passion for safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a supervisory or team leadership position within mining or exploration
• Experience leading teams, managing contractors, and driving performance outcomes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience with operational systems, workflows, and reporting processes
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
