Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician Supervisor to join on a full-time FIFO roster from Perth, supporting underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine. You will lead electrical services for LV systems and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have WA Schedule 26 Supervisor training, trade qualification as Auto Electrician, and prior underground mining experience with heavy plant.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Auto Electrician with Australian certification.
• Underground mining experience with light vehicles and heavy mobile equipment preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical and mobile plant systems.
• Knowledge of WA mining safety standards, HS&E procedures, pre-start inspections and SWIC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise underground equipment servicing and electrical maintenance to ensure safety and uptime.
• Lead HS&E compliance, pre-start inspections, SWICs, and maintenance standards.
• Coordinate fault reporting, repairs and spare parts with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Oversee servicing of light vehicles, mobile machinery and air-conditioning, ensuring proper documentation.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and ensure tools/equipment meet underground standards.

About the Role

Barminco is seeking an experienced and motivated Auto Electrician Supervisor to join the team on a full-time basis (14/14 FIFO roster from Perth).

This role is integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role provides the support and leadership of the Auto Electrical services to the operational LV’s and equipment. This position is highly conscious of the safety requirements of working in the mining industry.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Supervise underground mobile equipment servicing and electrical maintenance activities, ensuring all work was completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site service schedules and company procedures.
• Lead compliance with HS&E requirements, pre-start inspections, SWICs, and equipment maintenance standards to achieve safe operational performance underground.
• Coordinate fault reporting, repair scheduling, and spare parts requirements with maintenance supervisors to minimise equipment downtime and improve workshop productivity.
• Oversee servicing and repair of light vehicles, mobile machinery, and air-conditioning systems while ensuring accurate completion of service documentation and maintenance records.
• Maintain high workshop housekeeping standards and ensured all tools and equipment remained serviceable, safe, and compliant with underground mining standards.
