Job summary

Barminco is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician Supervisor to join on a full-time basis, with a 14/14 FIFO roster from Perth. You will lead underground auto electrical services, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency at Bellevue Gold Mine.

Role focuses on supervising servicing of underground mobile equipment, diagnostics and adherence to HS&E, with ongoing training and career progression within Barminco’s global mining operations.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified Auto Electrician with Australian certification.
• Current WA Schedule 26 Supervisor training and certificate completed.
• Previous underground mining experience with light vehicles and heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical systems, air-conditioning and mobile plant.
• Solid knowledge of WA mining safety standards, HS&E procedures, pre-start inspections, and SWIC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise underground mobile equipment servicing and electrical maintenance, ensuring work is safe and in line with schedules and procedures.
• Lead HS&E compliance, pre-start inspections, SWICs and maintenance standards for safe underground operations.
• Coordinate fault reporting, repair scheduling, and spare parts with maintenance supervisors to minimise downtime.
• Oversee servicing and repair of light vehicles, mobile machinery, and air-conditioning, ensuring accurate service docs.
• Maintain high workshop housekeeping and ensure tools/equipment remain safe and compliant with underground standards.
• Demonstrate leadership aligned with company values, supporting team performance and continuous improvement.

Job description

Barminco is seeking an experienced and motivated Auto Electrician Supervisor to join the team on a full-time basis (14/14 FIFO roster from Perth).

This role is integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role provides the support and leadership of the Auto Electrical services to the operational LV’s and equipment. This position is highly conscious of the safety requirements of working in the mining industry.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Supervise underground mobile equipment servicing and electrical maintenance activities, ensuring all work was completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with site service schedules and company procedures.
• Lead compliance with HS&E requirements, pre-start inspections, SWICs, and equipment maintenance standards to achieve safe operational performance underground.
• Coordinate fault reporting, repair scheduling, and spare parts requirements with maintenance supervisors to minimise equipment downtime and improve workshop productivity.
• Oversee servicing and repair of light vehicles, mobile machinery, and air-conditioning systems while ensuring accurate completion of service documentation and maintenance records.
• Maintain high workshop housekeeping standards and ensured all tools and equipment remained serviceable, safe, and compliant with underground mining standards.
• Demonstrated strong leadership aligned with company values, supporting team performance, operational reliability, and continuous improvement in underground maintenance operations.
• Current WA Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor training and certificate completed
• Trade Qualified Auto Electrician with relevant Australian recognised certification.
• Previous underground mining experience working on light vehicles and heavy mobile equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical, air-conditioning, and mobile plant systems.
• Sound knowledge of WA mining safety standards, HS&E procedures, pre-start inspections, and SWIC requirements.
